Larimer OEM is committed to building programs that increase social capital and community preparedness countywide for greater resilience and better disaster outcomes. The survey has now closed for 2024 and survey responses are currently being reviewed by the Larimer County Office of Emergency Management.

The Larimer County Office of Emergency Management has updated the Larimer County Emergency Preparedness Guide which is now available online. 

The Emergency Preparedness Guide provides information on how to be ready for emergencies and education on hazards in Larimer County. The guide expands on the following aspects of emergency preparedness and more.

As of 2023, Larimer County is a NOAA Storm Ready Community and Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador. 

Being part of a Weather-Ready Nation is about preparing to save lives from severe weather through advanced planning, education and awareness. The Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador initiative is an effort to formally recognize NOAA partners who are improving the nation's readiness against extreme weather, water, and climate events.

As of 2023, Larimer County is a Storm Ready Community and a NOAA Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador. 

StormReady communities are better prepared to save lives from the effects of severe weather through advanced planning, education, and awareness. No community is storm proof, but StormReady can help communities save lives. 

The 2024 Year In Review

The Larimer County Office of Emergency Management coordinates with partner agencies to better serve and support the community in all phases of disasters while also working to build resiliency in the county.

Emergency Management strives to do the most good for those that need it most by working behind the scenes and, meeting with partners throughout the Larimer County region to build programs and services that meet county needs. Below are major accomplishments and projects from 2023.
