Required Food Safety Certification for Retail Establishments
Colorado has adopted the 2022 FDA Food Code, which requires all retail food establishments to have at least one Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) on site during business hours.
The Larimer County Extension Office is proud to offer Certified Food Protection Manager training in partnership with the Larimer County Department of Health and Environment.

What’s Included
- 8 hours of instructor-led NEHA certified training with an experienced food safety educator, offered as one full day or two half-day sessions.
- Textbook
- Supplemental printed training materials
- Proctored ANSI-accredited exam
Registration
You may register up to 5 people at a time.
Please note that classes may require rescheduling if registration is low. You will be contacted by the instructor if this is the case to discuss options.
During registration you will choose how to receive your training materials:
- Have your book shipped directly (for an additional $5 fee)
- Pick it up at our office,1525 Blue Spruce Dr., Fort Collins, CO 80524.
Cancellation
Cancellations made 72 hours before class can be rescheduled at no charge
If you cancel less than 48 hours before class or do not attend, you will need to register again and pay the full fee to attend.
