Get Involved. Get Connected.

Explore Employee Engagement Groups and discover ways to connect with coworkers across Larimer County.

Joining an EEG is easy and open to all Larimer County employees, including full-time, part-time, temporary employees, and interns.

EEGs are meant to be welcoming, meaning that anyone can join or start an EEG. Employees can explore what EEGs are open for membership by visiting the "Current EEGs" tab and completing the interest form.

Interested in starting an Employee Engagement Group? We welcome new ideas and connections.

Getting started:

  1. Any individual interested in starting and leading an Employee Engagement Group will need to complete the EEG Interest form.
  2. After receiving the interest form, Nicole Berg, Learning and Development Manager, will schedule a brief meeting to answer questions, provide support to get the group started, and discuss next steps.

EEG leaders serve as ambassadors for their groups and are responsible for creating welcoming, respectful spaces for all members.

All EEG activities, meetings, and communications must follow Larimer County policies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity and Unlawful Harassment Policy. EEG leaders and members are responsible for maintaining welcoming, respectful environments.

FAQs

  1. Do I need supervisor approval to join an EEG?

No. Supervisor approval is not required to join an EEG. If meetings or activities take place during work hours, you may need to coordinate scheduling and workload expectations with your supervisor.

  2. Is participation in EEGs considered paid time?

Since participation in EEGs is voluntary, meetings, activities, and events are unpaid time.

  3. Who can join an EEG?

All Larimer County employees are welcome to join any EEG that interests them. This includes full-time, part-time, temporary employees, and interns.

  4. How are EEGs different from other employee groups and/or associations?

EEGs are voluntary, employee-led groups focused on connection, engagement, and development. They do not represent employees regarding terms or conditions of employment.

  5. What if I already lead an informal group or am part of an informal group? Do I have to move my group to an EEG shared space?

No, you don't. If you would like to, you're welcome to do so by filling out the interest form.

  6. What if my department or office doesn't use Zoom chat, so I don't have access to the EEG shared spaces, but I want to participate?

You are still welcome to participate. Please contact Nicole Berg, Learning and Development Manager, to let her know which groups from the Current EEGs tab on the webpage you're interested in joining. Nicole will get you connected with the EEG Leader(s), so you can be added to meetings and communication in another way.
