Criteria

The following limitations do not address all the factors considered in processing a Special Transportation Permit. These factors can be complicated and may require changing your planned route.

• over regulated height (14 feet 6 inches)
• over regulated width (8 feet at widest point)
• over regulated weight
  • 2 axles
    • 36,000 lbs
    • no one axel over 20,000 lbs)
  • 3 axles
    • 54,000 lbs
    • no one axel over 20,000 lbs
    • no tandem axel over 36,000 lbs
  • combination vehicles
    • 85,000 lbs
    • no one axel over 20,000 lbs
    • no tandem axel over 36,000 lbs
    • no tandem axles over 54,000 lbs
• over regulated length (70 feet)
• longer vehicle combinations (per CRS 42-4-505)
