Midpoint Welcome Center Update

The lobby at 2555 Midpoint Dr. has permanently closed, but we will still accept paperwork and applications at the location's secure document drop box. In-person services continue at our three other locations.

Help is hard to ask for, but we all need a helping hand at some point in our lives. 

Larimer County Human Services provides assistance in key areas, including food, cash, medical care, and child care, along with other specialized programs. Explore the options below to learn more about each!

Eligibility for public assistance benefits is determined by federally set income limits. Wondering what support you might qualify for? Use our free MyFriendBen tool to easily screen for government benefits, nonprofit programs, and tax credits.

Already a recipient? Access your current benefit information and manage your case online through Colorado PEAK.

Food Assistance Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) is a food assistance program that assists low-income individuals and families with the costs of purchasing food. This program is designed to supplement a monthly budget to purchase food for the household. Once approved, food assistance benefits are issued to an EBT card, called the Colorado Quest Card, that works just like a debit card.
Health First Colorado Colorado's Medicaid Program, Health First Colorado, is free or low-cost public health insurance for Coloradans who qualify. Health First Colorado can cover your doctor visits, emergency care, preventative case such as screenings and immunizations, and other procedures and treatments.
Child Care Assistance Program The Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) provides child care assistance to families who meet the income guidelines, meet current eligibility requirements, and families who are enrolled in the Colorado Works program. CCAP provides access to reduced cost child care at licensed child care facilities or qualified (unlicensed) providers.
Cash Assistance Programs Larimer County offers a variety of cash assistance programs in addition to what is listed above. Assistance for eligible individuals or families can be provided in the following areas: employment assistance (Colorado Works/TANF), aid to the needy disabled or blind, burial assistance, Old Age Pension, and the Medicare Savings Program.
What to Expect When Applying To apply or to check on the status of your application, please use our online benefits system, PEAK. If you can't find what you need online, please call (970) 498-6300. Our in-person services are limited to dropping off paperwork or quick questions, no in-person interviews will be held at this time.
Child Support Child Support Services (CSS) oversees the state's child support system. Individual child support orders are managed by Colorado's county child support offices. Apply, print an application, make or view payments, or find out more about what we can do to help you with your child support orders.
Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP) Through a partnership with the State of Colorado Department of Human Services, Goodwill administers the Low-Income Energy Assistance Program, also known as LEAP, which provides home heating assistance to households with income up to 60 percent of the Colorado State Median Income.

Community Services Block Grant (CSBG)

The Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) is a federal block grant that supports low-income individuals in communities across the United States. Funding allocations are determined by geographic diversity, population diversity and alignment with the CSBG Needs Assessment. Larimer County, with the support of CSBG funding, has a Community Navigator team of three.

The Larimer County Human Services Community Navigators can help with answering questions about county administered benefits like SNAP, WIC, Medicaid, and more. Navigators can be found  at events throughout the community and at some partner agencies in the county. Navigators have benefit applications available and can assist with helping people complete and submit applications. Community Navigators are available to help people find community resources that may be supportive to them.

CSBG Advisory Board

The Larimer County CSBG Advisory Board assists in the delivering of improved services to the community. This Board is composed of community leaders and community members with lived experience. All Board meetings are open to the public.
