Robert P. Denise Jr. was sentenced today to 16 years to the Colorado Department of Corrections followed by 10 years of Sex Offender Intensive Supervision Probation following a guilty plea to three counts of sexual exploitation of a child, a class three felony. The 8th Judicial District Attorney’s Office secured Denise’s guilty plea on April 4th, 2024.

Vincent Zamora was sentenced today to 40 years in the Department of Corrections, after pleading guilty to one count of murder in the second degree, a class two felony, and two counts of criminal attempt to commit murder in the second degree, a class three felony. Mr. Zamora pleaded guilty and was transferred into the adult criminal justice system on April 5th, 2024. At this time, Mr. Zamora is the only co-defendant in this case to have pled guilty as an adult.

Sam Strait was sentenced today to the maximum sentence of 25 years to the Colorado Department of Corrections for distributing fentanyl which resulted in the death of a juvenile in July 2022. The 8th Judicial District Attorney’s Office secured Strait’s guilty plea to Fentanyl Distribution Causing Death, a Class 1 Drug Felony on November 27, 2023.

Joseph Major was sentenced today to 10 years of Sex Offender Intensive Supervision Probation, 18 months in Community Corrections, and 120 days in jail, following a guilty plea of one count of Sexual Exploitation of a Child, a Class 5 Felony, and one count of Child Abuse, a Class 2 Misdemeanor. The 8th Judicial District Attorney’s Office secured Major’s guilty plea on April 3rd, 2024.

Jorge Arreola was sentenced today to 32 years in the Department of Corrections, after being found guilty by a jury on one count of attempted murder, a class 3 felony, and a sentence enhancer of a violent crime using a weapon on March 27th, 2024.

Bron Austin Deal was sentenced today to 60 days in the Larimer County Jail, 4 years of supervised probation as an Economic Crime Offender, and ordered to pay $24,617.18 in restitution following a guilty plea of Theft, a class 5 felony, and Fraud In Effecting Sales, a class 2 misdemeanor. The 8th Judicial District Attorney’s Office secured Deal’s guilty plea on January 19th, 2024.
