Federal Government Shutdown: Update to SNAP benefits

Due to the federal government shutdown, that began on October 1, 2025, the United States Department of Agriculture has informed the State of Colorado that November 2025 SNAP benefits can not be issued at this time. Please visit this page for updated information

News

  • Clients can apply for benefits or check the status of their application through PEAK online. Phone hours are Monday-Friday, 8a-5p.
  • Colorado SNAP recipients can now use EBT cards online at Safeway and Albertsons. Read more about where EBT cards can be used.
  • The Double Up Food Bucks program doubles the value of federal nutrition benefits  spent at participating markets and food retail stores, helping people bring home more healthy fruits and vegetables while supporting local farmers. Learn more
